OUR MISSION
Our programs are based on the values that everyone deserves to be loved, self-directed, treated with dignity and respect, and to be recognized for their inherent value as a unique person. Another guiding value is the right of persons with disabilities to be a part of the community, with the same opportunities, responsibilities, and quality of life as available to all citizens. We utilize a person-centered approach as a provision of our services and our principles mirror the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services & Home and Community Based Services guidelines. Warminster Place is committed to supporting and training by assisting, or total care for adults with developmental disabilities and illnesses to attain individual goals in areas such as:

Functioning in the community, integrating into different environments, and adapting optimally to daily living.

Learning new skills and adapting functional skills relating to community resources and safety to appropriate environments.

Andrea Hicks is a registered nurse with a plethora of experience ranging from Critical Care to Nurse Education. She worked as a Director of Nursing & Nurse Consultant for local group homes for the Developmentally Disabled before deciding to further contribute to providing quality care and living for the Developmentally Disabled by starting Warminster Place, LLC (WMP). By starting WMP, Andrea has created a warm caring place that promotes optimal living and acceptance in society for all with disabilities within the community.
OUR TEAM
Erika Cook is a Nurse Practitioner. In her role at Warminster Place, LLC, she strives to provide the best experience for our individuals by overseeing and maintaining the training of our caretakers, support plans for individuals, and encouraging programs/activities that promote wellness and improved quality of life for our clients.
Veronica Preston holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and Bachelor of Psychology & Health & Human Services from Ashford University. Veronica has dedicated her life to community involvement and advocating for others. She has held variety of positions in human services, and is currently the CEO of Bright Visions. Veronica is passionate about ensuring that quality individualized services are catered to the needs of each client.
Our Direct Support Professionals are specially trained to work with the intellectually challenged in all ways possible. Because we provide shelter, comfort, food and more to our residents, care is more of a way of life at Warminster Place, LLC rather than a job to our care providers.
​All WARMINSTER PLACE, LLC Caretakers are certified and trained in all of the following criteria: CPR/First-Aid certified, Therapeutic Options Intervention (TOVA) – non-violent crisis management certified, Trained/Tested Person-Centered Care, Trained/Tested in Human Rights, Resolution Management, Medication Administration and DSP Trained/Testing. Ongoing continued education and certification renewal requirements are strictly enforced.
